About the Artist

Art has always been in my family, however I was not always the artist. My creative style is constantly growing and changing with me. Everyday I learn something new about myself, and in return my style as an artist.

I didn't start taking my art seriously until adulthood, even after begging my grandmother (Margaret Mathews) for my first painting lesson as a young child.  My grandmother was my inspiration to be who I want to be. She taught me how to paint at that first lesson, and bought me my first easel. I am truly thankful that she has been in my life to encourage me to be a better artist. Unfortunately after only a few lessons, I stopped for many years. I picked my passion back up as an adult when I needed an outlet for my overflow of suppressed feelings, but it has grown into something much more. Its gotten me through an identity crisis, and many highs and lows in my life. I am proud to say that I am still learning. Without growth art is just another canvas.
