About the Artist
Art has always been in my family, however I was not always the artist. My creative style is constantly growing and changing with me. Everyday I learn something new about myself, and in return my style as an artist.
I didn't start taking my art seriously until adulthood, even after begging my grandmother (Margaret Mathews) for my first painting lesson as a young child. My grandmother was my inspiration to be who I want to be. She taught me how to paint at that first lesson, and bought me my first easel. I am truly thankful that she has been in my life to encourage me to be a better artist. Unfortunately after only a few lessons, I stopped for many years. I picked my passion back up as an adult when I needed an outlet for my overflow of suppressed feelings, but it has grown into something much more. Its gotten me through many highs and lows in my life. I am proud to say that I am still learning. Without growth art is just another canvas.
